No two days are exactly alike, but your responsibilities may include but are not limited too:

• Staying overnight in a client’s home while they are away.

• Following each pet’s individualized care instructions which could include feedings, providing fresh water, administering medications, potty breaks, litter/cage cleans, etc.

• Walking dogs and cleaning up after them.

• Providing companionship, enrichment, and lots of affection.

• Sending updates and photos to pet parents.

• Keeping client homes clean, secure, and respected.

• Traveling between scheduled daytime visits.

 

This position is perfect for someone who:

• Absolutely loves animals of all shapes, sizes, breeds, and personalities.

• Is responsible, trustworthy and is dependable—even when nobody is watching.

• Enjoys working independently but has excellent communication skills.

• Is comfortable staying overnight away from home.

• Can adapt to different homes, routines, and pet personalities.

• Has a flexible day schedule.

 

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.

• Reliable vehicle and valid driver’s license.

• Smartphone with reliable internet access.

• Comfortable working all shifts including evenings, weekends, holidays, and overnight shifts.

• Able to walk dogs in all Minnesota weather.

• Able to lift and carry up to 60 pounds.

• Able to pass a background check.
